The infrastructure incorporates end-to-end encryption, private subnets, and granular access controls using IAM. To balance operational excellence with cost efficiency, the architecture optimizes resources through predictive scaling, spot instances, and detailed cost analysis. Automated CI/CD pipelines ensure rapid and reliable deployment of front-end and back- end services, with features like multi-environment testing and automated rollbacks to minimize downtime and risks during updates.

Managing High Performance During Rapid Scale-up:
As KYCKART experienced rapid growth, ensuring consistent performance became challenging, especially during peak traffic periods. The platform needed to handle sudden increases in traffic without compromising speed or reliability.
Balancing Data Security with Regulatory Compliance:
Handling sensitive user data as a Regtech provider required KYCKART to meet strict regulatory standards, including ISO 9001 & 27001 certifications. Achieving this level of data security without hindering developer flexibility was a complex challenge

Implemented AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS) using Fargate to run microservices across multiple containers. This allows KYCKART to scale automatically based on traffic, ensuring smooth operation even during peak times. The backend services include a KYC API and media services, which are also containerized.
Leveraged AWS CodePipeline for continuous integration and deployment of both frontend and backend services. CodeBuild automates the build process, while CodeDeploy ensures updates are pushed to ECS containers seamlessly without affecting active services. Separate pipelines were set up for both frontend and backend code deployments, as shown in the diagram.
AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) was configured to control access to ECS tasks and other AWS resources. MongoDB Atlas was utilized for secure data management, while AWS Web Application Firewall (WAF) was added to filter malicious traffic. Encryption was enforced at rest and in transit using AWS-managed keys.
By using AWS Fargate, KYCKART only pays for the resources consumed. AWS CloudWatch helps monitor and optimize resource utilization, while AWS ElasticCache (Redis) accelerates database performance and minimizes cost by reducing database load.
The application was deployed across multiple AWS regions with Route 53 handling DNS failover to ensure global availability. An Application Load Balancer (ALB) distributes traffic between the ECS clusters in different availability zones, ensuring minimal impact during regional outages. AWS Aurora for RDS was set up for the MySQL database in a multi-AZ configuration with automated backup
